From Cindy LeCoq, Program Director

As students, advisors and administrators interested and involved in Career and Technical Education, we welcome you to this page.

Career and Technical Education Program Directors and CTSO State Advisors have teamed to create a new, more responsive service delivery to Colorado’s secondary and post-secondary programs. The contacts provided on the CTE Career and Technical Education Website will be serving the state in program approvals, planning professional development, launching articulation through escrow credit, and responding to field requests. More face-to-face assistance will be available for teachers and local directors.

It is the intent of the CTE office to provide pathways for student, advisors and administrators.

From the New State HOSA Advisor, Jen Staley

“Let me briefly introduce myself as the new Colorado HOSA State Advisor.  I have previously worked with Indiana HOSA and the Indiana Department of Education for six years.  I am very excited to begin working with Colorado HOSA.

I have had the opportunity to spend some quality time with some of the Health Science teachers at the CACTE conference in Fort Collins.  I also have taken time to review the HOSA files at the system office and have begun some initial planning with Cindy LeCoq and Miki Gann.

I have several goals for Colorado HOSA.  My paramount goal is to increase membership, but I firmly believe that the following statements will help us reach a goal of increased membership and awareness of HOSA:

arrow Timely communication from the HOSA Office to you, the chapter advisor
arrow Updated HOSA website (www.hosa.cccs.edu) and an increased amount of information available on the website
arrow Developing and updating Colorado HOSA policies and procedures
arrow Organized statewide events for HOSA members and advisors
arrow Visit chapters and Health Science programs
arrow Model Colorado HOSA after National HOSA

Accordingly, I believe you will see many changes in Colorado HOSA this coming school year.  The HOSA State Officers are working on exciting plans for the Fall Leadership Conference … stay tuned!  If you have comments, questions or suggestions for Colorado HOSA, please let me know.

I look forward to meeting you and learning more about your program in the near future.

Cheers!”
